A New Accountability Partner of Sorts

Ok, so I'm a little ashamed to admit this, but I am heavier then I have EVER been (minus while pregnant). I even came home from the hospital at a few pounds lighter than I am now after giving birth to Cameron.

Trevor's been trying to help me feel better in saying that probably 15 lbs of this is from my birth control (Mirena an IUD). But I still hate the way I feel and I hate the way I look and I hate the way I don't even fit into some of my "fat" jeans. :(

I am 174 lbs right now. The highest I hit before this weight was 163 in college.

SO!! That being publicized now, I am going to use my blog as an accountability partner of sorts. Having people know my weight and progress so openly will hopefully keep me motivated to work out and eat better.

Case in point: I have tried the last 2 weeks to get up earlier to start my day off with a workout but I kept hitting the snooze - until last night! I posted on my facebook status "Wish me luck, I'll be up at 5:15 working out!" And guess what? I honestly thought about how people now know that if I sleep in, I'm lazy and hit the snooze again. Well, I got up and did 45 mins of Zumba this morning because of that very thought!

Now, don't get me wrong, I honestly could care less about what most people think of me. But I also know that I need motivation and I seemed to have found it through this! (I wish the mere thought of fitting back into my 145lb clothes would motivate me but alas, it does not).

So here is my goal: I would like to be down in the 150s by Christmas (so 24lbs lost) and then continue that so I get to at least 151lbs and KEEP IT THAT WAY till my birthday in April. Whew! I'm starting to feel a little overwhelmed with that thought! BUT! I'm excited too!

Here is my regime:

-Dance my butt off! (Literally) Every-other month switch off from Zumba to either 30 day shred (if my WONDERFUL sister would let me borrow it) or another fun one I find. Work out at least 5 mornings a week. (If Sunday afternoon hits and I haven't finished, I'll give myself a little bit of room and do it that afternoon).

-Cut the carbs! Go for protein shakes for breakfast and more meat then bread throughout the day. My initial goal is 50 grams of carbs a day or less...but we'll see how that goes.

-take your vitamins. Well, not vitamins per say...Bronkaid and aspirin and boost with caffeine.

So there we have it! I will try to update this post every week or sooner with my weight and how well I'm doing.

Now, realistically, I love sweets and bread. SO! I need to give myself a little wiggle room too. I am allowed 1 sweet treat a week. Whether it's a piece of cake at a birthday party or a candy bar. My main sugars will be from fruits I eat instead. (diet pop will also fully switch into my intake instead of regular).

Wow, did my brain just gush out all of my thoughts randomly this post or what?! :D

Well guys, here I go...wish me luck!
